About:
“Art Squad Anarchy returns as part of the Drawn Winter Weekend! As “The nights are drawing in” and your host “Pip Pip Hooray” and the Art Squad gang, want you to start “Drawing on the night!”
4pm - 6.30pm at Turned Wood Cafe - Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.
You can expect the usual (and unusual) cavalcade of costumed life models to draw, plus the occasional daft game, a smattering of entertainment, themed playlists, prizes to be won, and perhaps best of all.. a 49-year-old man in a morph suit who probably should know better!! * *(this really is “probably” NOT the best thing, just don’t tell Pip).
All you need to bring is whatever drawing materials and medium you feel most comfortable with, some paper or something to draw on, and a willingness to have some fun!! Art Squad Anarchy is an ideal place for beginners and seasoned artist alike, and we actively and wholeheartedly encourage newcomers and people just starting their artistic journeys with open arms! This event is aimed for slightly older participants, as although none of the models are full nude, some of our costumes can be a little “revealing”. And some costumes can be a little terrifying!! (Did we mention the morph suit?) so some discretion is advised. Also try as we might Pip Pip Hooray has a mouth like a docker and cannot be controlled! So be warned! The event promises to be a wonderfully daft finish to the first days proceedings, and is an artistic after party of sorts…
So grab a ticket, a pencil and paper, and join Pip Pip Hooray, Moroccan Tom, an Alien, A Pirate, A Victorian Mill Worker, A Tusken Raider, and who knows who else at this wonderfully idiotic life drawing event!
Age 13+ accompanied by an adult. If there is availabilty tickets will be available on the door for £10
As with all our workshops and activities no refunds are given if cancelled less than a week before the event. However we will do our best to offer an alternive workshop at future events. “
